1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
2. Does this website set cookies?
No. The GEM Services website does not set any cookies of its own, and it does not store or read anything else on your device, such as local storage.
3. Vercel Web Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics, from our website hosting provider, to count page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and collects no personal data: each page view is recorded anonymously, and visitors are counted using a code generated from the request that is discarded after 24 hours.
4. Google Analytics
We also use Google Analytics to see which pages are read. It runs in Google's consent mode with analytics and advertising storage both set to denied, so under the current settings it sets no analytics cookies and reads none from your device. Your browser still sends Google a basic record of each page viewed, and, as with any request to a website, that request includes your IP address and browser type.
5. Your choices
Because no cookies are set, there is nothing to accept or reject on this site. If you would rather neither analytics service received anything, you can block them with a browser setting or extension, and the site will work in the same way. If we ever start setting cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
